Individual Therapy for Children, Teens, and Adults

Life's challenges look different at every age. I provide therapy for children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other emotional challenges in Nashville, Tennessee and virtually across Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida.

Support for Children

(Ages 7–12)

Children often communicate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences differently than adults. As a Registered Play Therapist™, I use child-centered play therapy and developmentally appropriate interventions to help children express themselves, process difficult experiences, build coping skills, and develop confidence in a way that feels natural to them.

I also believe parents play an important role in the therapy process. Through regular check-ins, parent consultations, and practical recommendations, we work together to support your child's growth both inside and outside of the therapy room.

Common Reasons Families Seek Child Therapy

Parents often reach out when they notice their child is struggling with:

  • Excessive worry, anxiety, or frequent fears

  • Difficulty managing big emotions, frustration, or anger

  • Meltdowns, emotional outbursts, or behavioral challenges at home or school

  • Low self-esteem or lack of confidence

  • Friendship difficulties or challenges fitting in with peers

  • Family changes such as divorce, separation, relocation, or blended family transitions

  • Grief and loss

  • Difficult or stressful life experiences

  • Trouble adjusting to change or new situations

  • Obsessive thoughts, compulsive behaviors, or OCD symptoms

Support for Teens

(Ages 13-17)

The teenage years can be filled with growth, change, and increasing pressure. Between school, friendships, family expectations, extracurricular activities, social media, and planning for the future, many teens find themselves carrying more than others realize.

I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where teens feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy gives teens an opportunity to explore their experiences openly, develop healthy coping strategies, build confidence, process identity development, and strengthen their ability to navigate life's challenges.

While parent collaboration remains an important part of the process, I also prioritize creating a space where teens can develop autonomy and feel ownership over their therapeutic journey.

Common Reasons Teens Seek Therapy

  • Family conflict and communication difficulties

  • Neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism

  • Identity exploration and self-discovery

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences

  • Life transitions and adjustment challenges

  • Stress related to social media, school, or future planning

  • Anxiety, excessive worry, and overthinking

  • OCD and intrusive thoughts

  • Depression, sadness, or loss of motivation

  • Academic stress, perfectionism, and burnout

  • Self-esteem and confidence concerns

  • Friendship challenges and peer relationships

Every teen deserves a space where they can show up authentically, feel understood, and know they don't have to carry everything on their own. Therapy can help teens build self-awareness, confidence, and resilience while navigating the challenges of adolescence. If you're wondering whether therapy might be helpful for your teen, I'd love to connect, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether we're a good fit for working together.

Support for Adults

Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida

Adulthood can be challenging. Between work, relationships, family responsibilities, and life's unexpected changes, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself.

Therapy offers a space to better understand what's contributing to those experiences, explore patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop tools that support the changes you want to make.

Adults often reach out for support with:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, and overwhelm

  • OCD, intrusive thoughts, and compulsive behaviors

  • Depression, sadness, or feeling disconnected from themselves

  • Trauma and difficult life experiences

  • Relationship challenges and communication difficulties

  • Family conflict and boundary setting

  • Grief and loss

  • Low self-esteem and self-doubt

  • People-pleasing and perfectionism

  • Major life transitions, identity shifts, and personal growth

Whether you're navigating a specific challenge or simply feeling ready for something to be different, I'd love to learn more about your story, answer any questions you may have, and explore whether we're a good fit for working together.
